Where we use AI tools in our work, where we deliberately do not, and what that means for the websites and content you pay us for.

Why publish this at all

AI is now part of a lot of digital work and most agencies are quiet about it. We would rather tell you what we use, where, and what we still do ourselves, so you can judge for yourself what you are buying.

Where we use AI

  • First drafts and research. AI tools help with early drafts, structure and research. Everything is edited, fact checked and rewritten before it reaches a client site.
  • Code assistance. Used for routine code, debugging and repetitive work, always reviewed and tested by a person.
  • Analysis. Spotting patterns in rankings, analytics and audit data faster than doing it by hand.
  • Images. Occasionally for background textures or abstract graphics. Never to fake a photograph of a real place, product or person.

Where we do not use AI

  • Client communication. When you get an email or a call from us, that is a person.
  • Reviews and testimonials. Every review on this site is a genuine one left by a client on Google. We have never written one.
  • Case study results. Numbers come from analytics and rank tracking, not from a plausible sounding estimate.
  • Advice and recommendations. What we tell you to do comes from twenty years of doing it, not from a prompt.
  • Unedited publishing. Nothing goes onto a client site straight from a tool. Everything is reviewed, edited and checked.

What this means for your website

Content written for your site is written for your customers, in your voice, and checked against what is actually true about your business. Search engines are good at spotting mass produced content, and publishing it is a quick way to damage a site that was working.

We do not put client confidential information, personal data or credentials into public AI tools. How we handle personal data generally is covered in our privacy policy.
